Ahhh, the Edsel...I was just at Wikipedia reading up on it. All told Ford invested 400 million dollars in it's development. That was in the late 50's, that is roughly equivalent to 2.8 billion today.

I was just a little munchkin when the Edsel came out, but I was old enuf to be aware of all the controversy. I've seen a couple in the past few years (in museums? car shows?), and looking at them now, 50 years later, I find them absolutely beautiful. Man I wish I had one stashed away in a barn somewhere!
