I have to respectfully disagree, infi. As the back story goes, he was a wild-eyed, hell-raising, brawling cadet that got shanked through the heart by some alien dude when he was young, and that, understandably, made him calm down quite a bit. He could usually hold his own in the hand-to-hand fracas's, although Kirk WAS more of tumble-down-the-rocky-hill while I'm kicking your ass kind of guy, Picard was no weenie when he was pushed. Just sayin'.
